Themes of Books

I identify themes in the book by the character actions and thoughts. I might also consider the series of event to help find the theme. I think understanding themes is important because you can connect it to other situations in life. Themes help you get the big idea of the whole entire book. Also themes can help you understand the world better and the book to. Other places I see themes are speeches in which they are trying to get a message to you. A theme that has been meaningful to me from my reading is don't fear you own powers, and instead use it for the greater good.

  1. I agree what you saying but what do you mean " Also themes can help you understand the world better and the book to" I'd getting confuse on what you saying. Did you mention "Theme can help you understand the words better and the book too?????"

  2. I think it's interesting that you see theme as helping you understand more about a book...I have never even thought of it that way. Thanks for that insight. I would love an example of how discovering a theme helped you understand something more about a book.
